Short version: your answers never leave your browser, and we do not ask who you are.

The recommendation quiz

The whole engine runs as JavaScript on your device. Your budget and riding answers are not sent to us or to anyone else. They are stored only in the URL after the #, which is why you can bookmark or share a result — and which, by design, browsers never transmit to a server.

Accounts and email

There are none. We have no sign-up, so there is nothing for us to lose.

Cookies

WhichBike sets no cookies of its own. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer's affiliate network will set a cookie so the sale can be attributed to us. That is governed by their privacy policy, not ours, and you can read the network's terms at awin.com/gb/privacy.

Hosting and analytics

The site is static and hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server access logs including IP addresses. If we add analytics we will use a privacy-preserving, cookie-free product and say so here before switching it on.
